Threat Researcher (DPI Core Team)

Overview

The job will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing Cyber Threat from web threats, exploit, or malware. Moreover, you will be focusing on IoT security research, especially for home ( i.e., TV, router, set-top-box, webcam(DVR)).

You shall have the ability to monitor the threat event development, trace the attack techniques, perform threat profiling from network behavior, as well as root cause analysis. The most important of all is to come up with a solution that quickly addresses the customer's pain points.

The tasks that need to be handled

• To make IPS/AppID/DevID rules for the projects listed in the table
• To test and release the rule sets with the scheduled dates
• To handle the cases from customers
• To support the new feature developing

• Familiar with the open threat intelligence, CVE, and the related exploit sources (GitHub, ExploitDB, MSF, and so on)
• Able to make IPS rules based on the open exploit sources in a limited time
• Able to support on-call (OC) and Overtime (OT) for urgent cases
• Familiar with Linux systems, Computer networking, Mysql, Web services, PHP language (for the members who needs to maintain the rule DB and rule editor systems)
• Strong communication skills and willing to take challenges
• Good English read/write skill is required
