Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Hardware Product Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product and project management within technical areas, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive product success from concept to launch. Hardware Product Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end development of drones, from inception to execution, integrating cutting-edge AI technologies to meet marine drone operation demands.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the product lifecycle from ideation through launch and beyond, ensuring successful delivery and adoption.
Plan products and subsystems based on customer needs, market research, market trends, and the competitive landscape.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, and sales to develop and execute product strategies.
Establish key milestones and targets from across the organization to help define the hardware roadmap. This will require an in-depth understanding of what teams are affected by the various stages of your product’s engineering development. You are to ensure that teams are being engaged at the right time and at the right product maturity stage to be successful.
Prioritize product features, build and maintain the product backlog, and manage the product development process.
Analyze product performance metrics and user feedback to inform continuous improvement.
Communicate product plans, progress, and results to relevant stakeholders.
Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products by managing timelines, resources, and risks effectively.
Evaluate and manage product and part costs: Assess and optimize the cost structure of products and components to align with budgetary goals.
Manage Development Process: Oversee the entire development lifecycle of hardware products, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with market needs.
Sourcing Key Parts and Sub-Systems: Identify and source critical components and sub-systems from reliable suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery.
External Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors to ensure they meet technical specifications and quality standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Management or a related field.
At least 1 year of proven experience as a Hardware Product Manager, particularly in technical domains.
Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in hardware development.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience working with connected hardware systems, drones are a PLUS!
Experience in Linux, Windows.
