At Synology, we put our users first. Your role involves a great deal of collaboration between engineering, design, and management teams. The Product Management Team works closely with our engineering team to guide products from conception to release. You will bridge the technical and business worlds together as you design products that our users love. You will identify and address user requirements, help define a product vision and strategy, and work with engineers to execute on those plans.
You will:
- Define and maintain product specifications for our NAS and IP SAN products throughout their development and production cycles
- Coordinate and monitor new product development status, ensuring that all tasks are done in a timely manner to meet product launch schedules
- Collaborate with software development teams to ensure the final product works seamlessly with our software and cloud services
- Manage outsourcing projects, including vendor briefing, supplier selection, qualification, and price negotiation
- Work closely with suppliers, engineering teams, and testing teams on custom product requirements to ensure new products are launched on schedule
- Track new technology development for assigned products/suppliers. Conduct market analysis, search for qualified suppliers, and align suppliers’ roadmaps with ours
- Continue to monitor and work with suppliers to ensure supply continuity, quality improvement, and cost optimization
- Manage the Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) and define the testing policy. Sync with strategic partners for testing targets and coordinate internal testing resources
You are expected to have:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- 2 years of IT hardware product management or related experience
- Experience in product management or product design with a focus on PC, servers, notebook, hard drives/SSDs or other storage technologies
- Experience in building or using multi-drive storage devices/enclosures, such as FreeNAS DIY boxes, Thunderbolt DAS units, or other NAS or SAN devices

- A meticulously organized individual who can take responsibility in managing tasks at hands
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Mandarin and English
- Ready to take up challenges and eager to learn new skills
- Familiar with IT knowledge such as PC assembly and manufacturing processes
- Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, delivering clear and concise information
- Experience with Adobe InDesign
