The Engineering Team

At AIFIAN, our Engineering and Product teams are at the core of everything we do, thriving on collaboration to build innovative solutions and bring ideas to life. As we grow, we’re not just building a product but also the platform it runs on, giving our engineers the freedom to create developer tools and processes that expedite development and amplify impact. We work closely with Product Managers, Product Designers, Customer Success, and other departments to ensure we’re building a coherent experience that delivers maximum impact to the business. Our focus is on iteratively building the product, staying data-driven, and course-correcting along the way to ensure we’re always heading in the right direction.

Our tech stack leverages a range of AWS services, with Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Terraform at its core.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with team members to design, develop, and maintain software systems that integrate with third-party services.
• Work closely with Product Managers and Designers to understand requirements and deliver features that align with business goals.
• Contribute to improving engineering standards, tools, and processes to ensure efficient and scalable development.
• Take part in building and maintaining reliable, high-performance system components.
• Write clean, efficient code and participate in testing, debugging, and deploying features to production.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and share knowledge within the team.
• Help troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, maintaining the stability and performance of the platform.

What We Look For

• 2+ years of professional development experience with Node.js.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, with experience using frameworks like Express, Koa, or similar.
• Familiarity with designing and developing microservices.
• Understanding of fundamental principles for building scalable and maintainable applications.
• A proactive mindset, with the ability to identify problems and contribute to solutions.
• Willingness to learn and work across different technologies as needed.
• Basic understanding of building reliable, fault-tolerant backend systems.

Good to Have

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience working in cloud environments, with AWS and Kubernetes expertise being a significant advantage.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
• Exposure to working in a fast-paced startup environment, balancing agility with thoughtful engineering.
