Effects Design Lead (AI & Image Effects)

As the Effects Design Lead at PicCollage, you will spearhead the innovation initiative, crafting content that merges creativity with technology. Your role will involve producing high-quality effects through AI or effects to use in stickers, backgrounds, templates and more for the PicCollage app. You will both oversee and actively engage in the creation, management, and strategic planning of content. This position demands a mix of creative vision, leadership skills, and technical expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with ML (Machine Learning) and Image Effects Group to develop creative output that fits with PicCollage aesthetic.
• Collaborate with Marketing to generate content (stickers, background, templates, effects, etc) based on user feedback and consumer research.
• Ideate and advocate for product changes that enhance app content usability and discoverability by exploring the latest advancements in AI and image processing technologies.
• Act as a representative of the Content team, liaising and communicating with other teams including PMs and developers.
• Lead and represent content initiatives and structure teams to achieve goals.
• Participate in strategic planning meetings and facilitate the implementation of strategies.
• Stay ahead of industry and design trends in both content strategy and technology to continually enhance content impact and delivery.

• Fluent in English (written & verbal).
• 5+ years of experience in visual design, with at least 2+ years working with AI-driven effects and image processing.
• Skilled in Adobe CC (Illustrator and Photoshop) and Figma. Knowledge with AI tools such as: Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, etc
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to advocate visual innovation.

• Familiar with US culture and trends.
• Fluent in Mandarin.
• Experience with ComfyUI.
