Responsibilities:
Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and vendors for profitable and favorable terms and costs
Develop and implement purchasing strategies that optimize cost, quality, and efficiency
Drive cross-functional teams(Food Safety, Marketing, and Engineering) to optimize the organization by identifying efficiency issues, developing solutions, and implementing changes
Drive operational readiness of suppliers, including purchase order readiness, planning long-term forecasts, capacity plans, and clear-to-build
Develop relationships and needs with suppliers and implement purchasing and contract(NDA, MPA) management instructions
Conducted or reviewed cost analysis by assessing material, labor, and overhead costs incurred in the production and finished products
Administer payment flows and maintain accurate records using systems and data sheets
Drive cross-cultural communication to effective supply chain collaboration
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or related field disciplines
At least 2 years of experience in purchasing management, project management
Proficiency in ERP systems and inventory management software
Strong negotiation, communication, and decision-making skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to travel frequently within Japan as required to visit suppliers 20-30% is required
Preferred Qualifications:
Has experience working on the supplier side, and has expertise in product development for custom product
Execute risk management and crisis protocols to address potential vendor and purchasing issues
